Areas Of work and programs

PDNET, a transformative initiative, imparts rigorous professional development to aspiring ELTs from diverse regions of Pakistan. VBF had the opportunity to strengthen the skills and competence of 180 novice and prospective ELTs nationwide through this program last year.

Recently, VBF collaborated for Community Development Initiative by UGRAD Program Pakistan to conduct a training program called "Beyond the Classroom" for approximately 100 female teachers working in government primary schools.

VBF organized PAAW in 2018 (PAAW) and provided a week-long residential training to 60 administrators, coordinators, managers, and finance officers of the English Access Microscholarship Program from across Pakistan to enhance their pedagogical and managerial skills to improve the education system in general.

VBF administered ASTI 2019, a game-changer for 120 Pakistani Access teachers, and offered a two-week face-to-face training in Islamabad. Designed for the English Access Microscholarship Program, it empowered educators and enriched the curriculum, leaving an enduring impact on English language education in Pakistan.

VISION BUILDING FUTURE

VBF, a registered non-profit organization led by women, was established in 2016 to bridge the gaps in the education system, provide opportunities for youth, facilitate their professional growth, and eliminate gender discrimination. Initially, VBF undertook micro-level community projects aimed at raising awareness and increasing youth participation in education, culture, and life skills through volunteer activities. Later, to broaden its scope of work, VBF focused on non-formal education, pedagogical skills, professional development, youth engagement, activism, and gender empowerment, aiming to bring about transformative changes among vulnerable communities and contribute to the provision of basic human rights.

VBF’s mission is to work for the advancement of vulnerable communities through education, youth engagement, professional development and, gender equality and equity.
