The Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) program presents a unique and enriching opportunity for accomplished Pakistani secondary school English language teachers to enhance their teaching skills through a transformative six-week exchange in the United States. Vision Building Future is proud to share that last year, 90 outstanding ELTs participated in this impactful program, and this year, 100 more will have the chance to embark on this enriching journey. Upon their return, these educators are eligible to apply for TEA small grants, designed to further support their professional development. To date, 37 talented alumni have secured these competitive grants, significantly benefiting over 900 fellow educators and positively impacting more than 30,000 students across Pakistan.
PDNET is a pioneering initiative that provides comprehensive professional development to aspiring English Language Teachers (ELTs) from various regions across Pakistan. Last year, Vision Building Future had the privilege of enhancing the skills and competencies of 180 novice and prospective ELTs nationwide through this program. The impactful training sessions were held in three key cities: Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The program’s success was further amplified through the distribution of 50 competitive Small Grants, which directly empowered 1,500 ELTs in 40 cities across the country. Vision Building Future partnered with 13 public and private universities to implement these grants, ensuring widespread reach and effectiveness. The program garnered significant media attention, being featured in 27 national and local newspapers.
This professional development training equips teachers and administrators with advanced skills, knowledge, and innovative teaching methodologies. The program aims to unlock the full potential of each learner. This transformative approach fosters a generation of well-equipped individuals to thrive in a confident, empowered, interconnected world. Vision Building Future, under this training, has successfully fostered the professional growth of 60 Access teachers and administrators within the Access Microscholarship Program, significantly enhancing their teaching methodologies. These participants have benefitted over 1,500 children in their communities, creating a positive multiplier effect. Participants were equipped with innovative strategies and techniques, empowering them to provide exceptional educational experiences. They explored advancements in language acquisition, pedagogical approaches, and classroom management, refining their ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
In 2019, Vision Building Future administered the ASTI program, a pivotal initiative for 120 Pakistani Access teachers. This two-week face-to-face training, held in Islamabad, was specifically designed for the English Access Microscholarship Program. The training not only empowered educators but also enriched the curriculum, leaving a lasting impact on English language education across Pakistan.
In 2018, Vision Building Future organized the Professional Advancement and Administration Workshop (PAAW), offering a week-long residential training for 60 administrators, coordinators, managers, and finance officers of the English Access Microscholarship Program from across Pakistan. This training was aimed at enhancing their pedagogical and managerial skills, with the goal of improving the overall education system.
Recently, Vision Building Future partnered with the Community Development Initiative by the UGRAD Program Pakistan to launch a training program titled “Beyond the Classroom.” To date, this initiative has empowered and trained over 300 women in digital literacy. With a strong emphasis on enhancing women’s digital skills, the program delivered carefully crafted workshops that not only highlighted the significance of digital tools in modern education but also provided hands-on training in platforms such as Google Workspace, Google Classroom, Google Docs, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more. Together, we are paving the way for a future where empowered women take the lead in the digital age. These workshops place economic empowerment at the forefront by enabling women to harness the power of digital tools. They acquire the skills needed to access online job opportunities, explore e-commerce ventures, and participate in freelancing platforms. As these women embrace digital technologies, their access to online learning resources and educational platforms expands, further enriching their personal and professional growth.

“Mashal,” meaning “torch” or “light” in Urdu, symbolizes the vision of CodeHER and Vision Building Future’s collaborative initiative.
