Access Task Force for COVID-19  Rawalakot/Azad Jammu& Kashmir.

In response to current global issue of COVID-19, 100 Access students of our English Access Microscholarship program at University of The Poonch Rawalakot, Azad Jammu & Kashmir played their part by initiating an awareness campaign regarding “Corona pandemic”. To reduce devastating effects of this health epidemic, Access students formed “Access Task Force”. 100 Access volunteers were divided into groups which aimed to spread first-hand information in community. They recorded AV notes, prepared pamphlets while translating recommended precautions from English to local languages to make people aware about the aggression of this disease. They also promoted available resources and promised to save lives while helping the community. They believe in taking a lead, to do so, the campaign is going through the door to door.

Health & Hygiene Awareness COVID-19  Rawalpindi

At the very beginning of COVID-19 in Pakistan, Vision-Building Future (VBF) collaborated with the International Community Support Foundation (ICSF) to organize a “Health and Hygiene Awareness” workshop at Academia Foundation School. Our interns, Yumna Owais & Mazahir Hussain, came up with the idea to educate the students of an underprivileged school about water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices. The workshop aimed to encourage around 100 primary school students to adopt safe hygienic practices themselves and motivate others for better hygiene behavior. A workshop specifically focused on teaching students steps for washing hands and its importance to help stop the spread of coronavirus in our country.

Professional Development for Novice English Teachers (PDNET)  Pakistan

The Professional Development for Novice English Teachers (PDNET) program is a U.S. State Department fully funded teacher training series offering five days of intensive residential training for novice and prospective English language teachers (current students or recent graduates of teaching professional degree programs (B. Ed, M. Ed, TEFL and ELT) from across Pakistan. Upon completion of the course, participants will be eligible to receive small grants to conduct follow-up activities in their respective regions.

Helping daily wagers during COVID-19 crisis  Islamabad/Rawalpindi

Outbreak of COVID19 and countrywide lock down has left daily wagers in vain with no means to earn. To help the community during this adversity team members of Vision- Building Future took a step to collect donations, prepare monthly ration bags and deliver at the door step of the ones in dire need. Many people joined the cause and with their help 115 ration bags were delivered to the needy.

English Access Microscholarship Program is a global scholarship program supported by the U.S. Department of State that provides a foundation of English language skills to bright, economically disadvantaged students, primarily aged 13- to 20-year olds through After-School classes and Intensive Sessions. Access students also gain an appreciation for U.S. culture and democratic values through enhancement activities

Pakistan Access Administrators Workshop 2017  Pakistan

Pakistan Access Administrators Workshop (PAAW) 2017 was a week-long residential training program organized by Regional English Language Office in collaboration with Vision- Building Future. Forty administrators, managers and finance officers of English Access Microscholarship Program participated in the program from across Pakistan.

In 2016, VBF kicked off “Be the Change” program to endorse a constructive change in the society through inclusion campaigns and other educational, social, cultural development projects. “Be The Change” not only brings forward programs to develop community, but also inspires youth to partake in bringing positive changes.
